The committee met last night to discuss arrangements for the Winter 26/27 season. There are 75 teams in the league this forthcoming season, which is one more than the previous Summer season. ERSC Chalk It Up, Hop Bind (B), Tev X-Cons and Black Bull Phoenix declined to enter. The new teams are ERSC (LHE), Hop Bind (B), Girton 8’s, Earl of Beaconsfield and Abington Tuns.

In addition, we have some venue changes. Cambridge City were formerly Whittlesford SC, Barley Mow were formerly Railway Vue, U’s Cues (CUSC) were formerly the Barnwell Bullets, Over The Horse were formerly White Horse (SWY), WT’s Cue Tang Clan were formerly Histon Banditz, Histon Nomads were formerly White Horse (Milton) and WT’s Gremlins were formerly Girton Gremlins. We officially welcome the new venues at Cambridge City, Barley Mow and the Three Tuns to the league. We also welcome back the Earl of Beaconsfield and Cambridge United SC.

Also, a couple of name changes. Tev (MC) are now Tev (SR-MC) in recognition of Steve Rogers. The Rathmore Ringers are now the Rathmore Choppers and Over CC are now Over CC (A).

The league has been split into eight divisions, with 10 teams in the Prem, 6 and 7. The other five divisions have 9 teams.

ERSC (LHE) and Hop Bind (B) are fragments of the old Hop Bind (B) team from division 2 with a couple of adjustments. The former have been placed in division 1 and the latter in division 5.

Girton 8’s have been placed in division 5, Earl of Beaconsfield in division 6 and Abington Tuns in division 7.

All teams that finished in the top two and bottom two have been promoted or relegated. Three of the teams that declined to enter were in higher divisions. As such, there are some extra movements as follows;

WT’s Garage Nation from 3rd in div 1 to the Prem

Over The Horse from 3rd in div 3 to div 2

Hardwick SSC (A) from 4th in div 3 to div 2

Black Bull Dragons from 3rd in div 4 to div 3

Beach SC (Taps) from 4th in div 4 to div 3

Fulbourn Inst Amber Army from 3rd in div 5 to div 4

Over CC (A) from 4th in div 5 to div 4

We also felt that Chesterton WMC (B) really struggled after being placed in divisions 2 last season. As such, we have dropped them to division 4.
