Registration for the Winter 26/27 League takes place at East Road Social Club between 7 and 8 pm on 1st September.  This is followed by the GM.  We need to register before this season finishes so that we can start the Winter season on 8th October.  A registration form can be found in the download section of the website.  The proposals to change the constitution at the GM can be found below.  Please come to the GM and vote on the proposals.  Please share the proposals with your team.  Each team can have up to three votes. 

The proposals will also go on social media in due course.

1. To extend the dress code rule from TKO to all finals on presentation evening.  In addition, make black skirts an option to black trousers.

2. To get rid of the ambiguity in the constitution regarding the timekeeper being a second referee. 

Point 14.14 and 15.11. Teams not refereeing will provide a timekeeper, who will act as the 2nd referee.

Point 31.5. The referee’s decision is final, but players may insist that they consult the timekeeper, relevant captains and their divisional secretary before making their decision.

We need to decide which option we are choosing?

3. Scrap the captains matches on Thursday night. Nobody watches them much or really cares for them nor do many of the captains it’s just a smash around after the match.

4. 'Tactical Time out' each week.  The captain has 1 tactical time out he can call where he can discuss a shot/option with a player at the table. For example, could be 6-5 up and a player deciding on a shot, the captain can call his tactical time out and discuss strategy with said player. Gives the captain an actual role in a team. Doesn’t have to be 1 a week but seems a little overkill if any more than that.

5. Masters Singles Tournament - Every season the top 16 in the hotshots are invited into a Masters singles knockout bracket each year. Gives players some motivation for the hotshots to come in the top 16 that season. Winner could receive free entry into the Open Singles and a trophy etc. This also bridges the 2/3 week gap between seasons finishing with some pool between for some.

6. A total of £250 a season to be allocated for Honorariums for committee members that do considerable work or incur significant expenses.  The committee to distribute this as it sees fit.

7. All competition entry fees are at the discretion of the committee..

8.  To change the entering of scorecards from Friday at midnight to Thursday at midnight. With the current rules, games are completed a lot quicker than previous rules.

9. Section 12 Point 9 says “Only 3 players under the ages of 18 may be registered to a team.”

Amend or remove this stipulation.
